The Museum is currently closed for refurbishment and move to new premises. The upcoming reopening of the Museum will allow showing in a permanent exhibit the wealth of the preserved medical heritage, according to concepts from scientific museology.

Furthermore, another of its objectives will be temporary exhibits, dedicated to the comprehension of science, technology and medicine, and their interaction with society within a historical context, and as a means to bring medical research closer to the population.

The Museum will also offer an education program, destined both to experts and general public, from students to elders. These activities will be linked to the Museum exhibits, without missing their entertainment nature, from the aim of making health education a practical and interesting experience.
