Another specialty in which photography immediately enters in Catalonia at the end of the 19th Century was dermatology and, in particular, in the field of venereal pathologies at Santa Creu’s Hospital in Barcelona. As in other medical specialties, the photographic tool was complementary to drawing, both understood as procedures to register pathologies. The Museum harbours a representative sample of photographs related to advances in Catalan dermatology.
